No Need to Argue Wall — Restrained Verse & Layered Chorus
Noel Hogan has described the song’s heavy sound as a combination of cranked Marshalls and Vox AC30s, layered with Gibson ES-335, Les Paul and Fender single-coil guitars. That multi-guitar approach explains why the chorus remains broad and articulate instead of sounding like one extremely saturated amp. Exact control positions and layer assignments were not documented, so settings are approximated from Hogan’s account.
