Dave Davies created the track’s distortion by cutting the speaker cone of his small Elpico “Little Green” amplifier and feeding that damaged amp into a Vox AC30. The setup predates fuzz pedals, and no reliable knob sheet survives, so the controls below are practical approximations of the documented two-amp chain.
