Bellamy recorded Absolution primarily through a MIDI-controlled Diezel head and Soldano cabinet, keeping the guitar-to-amplifier path clean while parallel effects were added through the loop. The song uses relatively sparse upper-register guitar voicings around its bass-led arrangement; exact control positions were not published, so settings are approximated from the documented album rig.
