Texas Flood Snap — Clean-Loud Shuffle
The Texas Flood sessions were recorded largely through Jackson Browne’s high-headroom Dumbleland 300 bass amplifier, giving Stevie Ray Vaughan a huge clean foundation that breaks up under a hard attack. Vaughan’s Stratocaster, heavy strings and Eb tuning are central; a Tube Screamer was important to his wider rig but is not securely documented as the source of this particular studio take. Exact Dumbleland controls were not published, so settings are approximated from the documented session rig.
