Criteria Studio Duet — Strat Rhythm & Goldtop Slide
Eric Clapton played Brownie, his 1956 Fender Stratocaster, while Duane Allman used a 1957 Les Paul Goldtop for the interlocking lead and slide parts. Producer Tom Dowd remembered a small Fender Champ in the studio, although accounts of the complete amplifier setup conflict, so the control positions below are representative rather than documented.
