The album recording used producer Rob Cavallo’s Taylor 514C, later nicknamed Excalibur, rather than the Gibson J-45 seen in the video. The exact microphones and processing are not publicly documented, so the compression and room settings below are conservative approximations intended to preserve the Taylor’s crisp attack.
