Soundgarden
Cornell uses heavy chorus on the verse riff for that dreamy, surreal sound. Flange or chorus is essential.
Chris Cornell used a Gretsch Duo Jet with a bright Marshall JMP 50 and darker Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier blended for the record’s heavy sections. The verse’s Beatlesque movement came from a Leslie Model 16, while the published amplifier settings keep both amps at moderate rather than extreme gain. Guitar-control and microphone values are representative, but the amp controls follow Guitar World’s published reconstruction.
