Angus uses a Marshall JTM45/Super Lead cranked hard. Very bright, very crunchy, almost no pedals — just the amp.

The record pairs Malcolm Young’s dry, percussive Gretsch-and-Marshall rhythm sound with Angus Young’s brighter Gibson SG lead voice. Engineer Tony Platt used Neumann U67 and U87 microphones on different speakers, while Angus’s Schaffer-Vega wireless system also pushed and coloured his amp input.
