White Falcon Melancholy — Showman Clean & SG Breakdown
Frusciante identified the main recording chain as his Gretsch White Falcon through a Fender Showman and Marshall 4x12. A 1961 Gibson SG/Les Paul Custom was used during the heavier breakdown, but its precise amplifier and control settings were not documented, so that section is approximated from the Californication-era Marshall setup. Notes
Keep the main part dark, clear and almost hollow-sounding. The breakdown should become denser and more aggressive without turning into a modern high-gain tone.
