Telstar Space Western — Tremolo Intro, Gallop & Melody Lead
The opening evolved from surf guitar into a “Telstar”-inspired tremolo melody, while the finished production combines dry crunchy guitars, acoustic strumming, reverse parts, delay and heavy overdubs. Bellamy said an especially extreme distortion device was used to modernize the retro sound, but its identity and knob positions are undocumented, so the fuzz settings are representative. Signal Chain
Notes
Keep the opening melody bright and heavily tremoloed. The galloping section should be dry and percussive, with muted-string layers adding movement underneath.
